PART 2 - BEST FRIEND's TALK



-- In these 5 years time, does the relationship between the three of you change in some ways?
Alan: It doesn't change at all. Actually, since the time we turn to be on the same age is just separated by few months, it feels kinda interesting. It makes me think like, "The feeling of being in the same age like this, is this how Reo and Hayato feel toward each other?". To think about that, it's like Mandy-kun is being isolated (laugh).

-- Is there anything which make you think like, "The true character of this person is something only I know."
Alan: For me, rather than something only I know, it's more like something I want to know. And that thing is Yuta-kun's feeling when he entered hedgehog cafe for the first time!
Yuta: I entered the cafe simply because I was curious, but to see how cute they were, before I realized it, I already bought one (laugh)
Alan: It was a love-at-the-first-sight with Milo, right?
Ryuto: Eh! So you bought it from that place?
Yuta: Yeah. Its eyes are big, and it's really cute~ It becomes my pal now. As for Alan-kun, he knows about lots of things. He's well-informed, and he always knows about what is trending in the world nowadays.
Alan: It's just because I always check for them (laugh). As for Ryuto-kun, despite of being this muscular, he's bad with horror movies (laugh).
Ryuto: I'm still okay with splatter movies (note: a film in which the main feature is the graphic and gory murder of numerous victims), but horror is kinda harder to be forgotten, I guess. After I watched some horror movies CM, I would feel afraid to go for a shower (laugh). It's because I can't do training for my heart.

-- Please tell us the moment when you feel like, "He's so cool!"
Alan: Even though he might look like this, I think Ryuto-kun can "say things that needs to be conveyed" during MCs on our lives. It's his cool part.
Ryuto: As for Alan-kun, it's that he can do DJ. Though I don't often hang out at night, I'd go alone when it's for Alan-kun (to watch him DJ-ing).
Alan: Ryuto-kun's percentage of attendance is number one. Recently, he's not nervous anymore. Before, to see 12.000 people in Yokohama Arena, he was trembling! As for Yuta-kun, it's his solo dance!
Ryuto: Yeah, it's always Yuta-kun who makes the audience goes "Wow!" so many times. His performance is always exciting to watch, it's seriously the best! Other than that, nothing is good about him (laugh)
Yuta: You speak badly, in the end (laugh)

-- His body is like that, and the feeling when he really gets himself into something is like a wild beast. Recently, his animal-like feeling is kinda increasing again.

-- After doing acrobat, he (Yuta) always makes heart shape with his fingers. It's kinda cheesy though (laugh), but it shows his love for the fans.



-- What part of each other do you think has grown up?

Ryota: Hayato has become an adult now, he becomes cool. He has experienced various things from the age 10s-20s, and his body has changed as well. I'm also grateful that he's such a moodmaker.

Hayato: Ryota-kun has become a man. During our debut time, he used to be said like 'Chihuahua-chan', but now, he's a 'prince'. That kind of coolness needs years to be polished. If it's me, I would be lost against the pressure of a prince (laugh).

-- What should it be to be a prince?

Ryota: Well, just by being earnest...

Hayato: Look, to reveal such inner side of him, what a sincere prince!

-- In these 5 years time, does the relationship between the two of you change in some ways?

Ryota: It doesn't change at all. We can talk just about everything. Yesterday, we went to a cafe and spent 1 hour to talk about jobs and so on.

Hayato: We talk about everything, from topics about our group until topics like "Recently, how is your life?". We're around the same age anyway, so we have similar point of view. I discuss things most often with Ryota-kun. We have good relationship.

-- Is there anything which make you think like, "The true character of this person is something only I know."

Hayato: The prince is drinking wine alone at nights, then gets drunk...

Ryota: It's just a prejudice (laugh). But I do drink alone a lot. Komori-san's cheerfulness is just a bluff, actually he easily gets lonely.

-- Please tell us the moment when you feel like, "He's so cool!"

Ryota: As expected, it's when he does acrobats. It's great that he successfully did it every time during the lives.

Hayato: I guess it's when Ryota-kun sings at stage while crying. Not only because of happy things, I think sometimes we shed tears upon negative feelings, when there's something frustrating bothers us. To see him expressing such things sincerely is cool, I think.

-- Because he's a person who has a splendid image of freedom (with no wall around). I'm wavering between this one and "Evergreen" though, but its spacious feeling suits him.

-- Its sweet, straight part of saying 'I love you' can kindly cover Hayato's easily-lonely side.

-- Please tell us something which left impressions on you in these 5 years.

Reo: Of course, it's the tours. It's our third time though, and it now becomes clear about what things we should convey through the tour and what should be done. Because we can finally do the ideal things which we always want to express, there's a feeling of creating something. It's really fun.

Mandy: For me, it's the Christmas party with members we do every year. Because all of us are old enough to drink alchohol, it's really a chaos (laugh).

-- What part of each other do you think has grown up?

Reo: Men-san has become a man. He's now calm and he can watch over the members properly. Now he knows what he should do. You're 5 years older than me though, but you did a good job.

Mandy: What's with that attitude! (laugh) But he has become a bit more patient now. Everyone has also become adults. Though I'm the oldest member, I think regardless of their ages, everyone has become such wonderful adults.

-- In these 5 years time, does the relationship between the two of you change in some ways?

Mandy: Not only with Reo, it doesn't change with all the members as well. As we have to go around together for the tour, the role of each us has become clear.

Reo: Yeah, we are all grown-ups now anyway. By doing tours, we are able to see various things. Unlike when we're still in our 10s, the frantic feeling has disappeared.

-- Please tell us the moment when you feel like, "He's so cool!" during the tour.

Mandy: It's during Reo's solo in the song "Stupid~Makka na bracelet~". Though he's small height-wise, his presence is so big during lives. He can see it and he understands his moves. I think that's cool.

Reo: You're making fun of me, aren't you! During lives, Men-san makes sexy face. You know, like what handsome actors do. You're aware of that, aren't you?

Mandy: I didn't do that~ But I'm in the same category with handsome actors anyway (laugh).

Reo: You're aware of that. That's a premeditated crime!

-- Facing another 5 years ahead, please tell us your wish about that!

Mandy: It will be great if even after 5 years, we still gather together when Christmas comes. Laughing while drinking alchohol together with everyone, GENE will be shining.

Reo: What's that!

Mandy: Then, we'll get exhausted.
